U Chew is our “Chewable” or perhaps chewable gel. Optimized like our gels with a 1:0.8 carbohydrate ratio and salt. The uptake of energy is as quick as with gel, so in that way, the products are equivalent, but U Chew is more firm in form. Each U Chew gives 30g carbohydrates at a total weight of 38g compared to our U Gels, which provide 30g carbohydrates at a total weight of 50g. This is because there’s more liquid in the gels. Gels are great as they contribute to fluid balance as well, but sometimes you might want to carry as little weight as possible while still having an optimized energy plan, and that’s when U Chew is perfect.
